Biography:Gábor J. Deák was named President of Delphi South American operations on January 1st, 2003 and Managing Director for Delphi Electrical Electronic Architecture on January 1st, 2007.
Gábor was the managing director for the Delphi Energy & Chassis and Delphi Saginaw Steering Systems South American Operations.
He joined Delphi in January 2000 when Delphi Corporation acquired Lucas Diesel Systems where he was the general manager for South American Operations. Before joining Lucas Diesel Systems in July 1998, Gábor had a 23-year career with Maxion in South America, holding executive positions in engineering, logistics, quality, manufacturing, strategic planning and new product development. He started his career as a product engineer at Black & Decker do Brasil S.A. in 1974.
Gábor post graduated in business administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, São Paulo and has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo.
From 2005-2006 he was the President of SAE-Society of Automotive Engineers in Brazil has been appointed Finance Director for the period of 2007-2009.
Born in Budapest, Hungary, Gábor is a Brazilian citizen.
